In the first segment, Jenn and Daren explain where they’ve been for the last 4 months while the podcast has been on hiatus.
In the second segment, they discuss some of the major topics they’ve missed during the hiatus. They cover new polyamorous developments, the roster of Democratic Presidential candidates, the recent race issues at Syracuse University, Cynthia Erivo’s racist comments, how Black feminism didn’t come from white women, and all things Lizzo.
In the Reflection, Jenn and Daren talk through their plans for the remainder of the podcast’s season and for the coming season 3.

This is an accidentally funny podcast about the realities of Blackness and adult life. We do “adult” differently. We are That Black Couple.
Our goal is to create a space for Black millennials to discuss and embody adult life on their own terms. We aren’t beholden to “traditional” gender or parenting roles, queerness is fluid and present in the ways we show up in our relationships and in the world, and we want to build community with other 30-something Black folx who are trying to figure this ish out.
